Buddy there is no way I'd advise transferring to another university without consulting someone first. Have you spoken to a personal tutor or advisor about this? I wouldn't call upon the TSR for the greatest advice about this situation because noone knows your personal circumstances. I would advise talking to a member of the faculty to express your concerns about the process and the reasons you would want to change. Remember, you may not even be guaranteed a place in the other university, especially in today's political climate, and you'll just be adding on more hefty fees.

However, I also believe you shouldn't feel restricted in life because of one bad choice. I'm happy with my university, so I have no idea what's going through your head. Just take the advice I've given above and see someone about it.

Hope this gives you a nudge in the right direction.
