    CH3COOH/CH3COONa

    Thanks.

    You can't "write an equation for a mixture". You can, however, write an equation for the formation of CH3COONa from CH3COOH if that's what you meant. The reaction of a carboxylic acid with NaHCO3 (sodium hydrogencarbonate - a base which decomposes to H2O and bubbles of CO2 when it picks up a proton) is a common A level test for carboxylic acids:

    CH3COOH + NaHCO3 ----> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2
