Just got an offer from UCL :awesome:

A*AA in Maths, Further, and a third subject
    Great!!

    Was there no interview?

Did you get the offer update in UCAS or did UCL send you an email/letter?

But there's nothing wrong with your success documented, is there?

You know it's the the first post in that thread you've posted in over 40 times, don't you?
What can I say, I'm not very clever...
Also, for my success to be documented I'll have to, you know, succeed.

Heard UCL calls for open day as a part of the condition. Was that not mentioned as well?

Great that the offer came up without the interview - are you an international applicant?

Did you see the offer for the first time on track or was there an email or letter from the University before that?

Last year I did my STEP exam, even though I failed is it worth mentioning it in my personal statement? Also do you have to put the grade down on your ucas.

Say you did prep for it, but don't mention the grade if you failed

No, I'm a UK home student - not international .

The offer came straight to track, without a letter from UCL proceeding it. With regards to the open day, on closer inspection right at the bottom of the conditions of my offer, it says: "You must attend the Department's Introductory Day, about which the Department will contact you shortly." So, there it is it seems!

What are your UCL and Warwick Maths offer conditions?

Guess the intro day visit is only a formality and not a condition as such.

    Standard offers for both:

    Warwick: A*AA1/A*A*A2
    UCL: A*AA

I agree, the introductory day is just a hassle.

Does it mean Warwick offer is harder than UCL because of STEP?

Warwick maths vs UCL maths? How can one compare/contrast?

BTW, how long did it take to get the first offer after UCAS submission?

Yup, you can clearly see the Warwick offer is much harder than the UCL offer. In terms of which university is better for Mathematics, I would say Warwick. I got my first offer (from Warwick) three weeks after I submitted my application.

Just received a rather comforting acknowledgement from Imperial. Who says they don't send them out?

I read somewhere on this forum that so many people missed the Warwick offer last year that they were forced to take people who did not meet the A levels and/or STEP requirement e.g. A*AA2 people

has anyone else heard this? is it true?

I haven't either, but I think it is because I only sent in my UCAS on the 12th October. Could be wrong.

    I was wrong:

It's only an acknowledgement anyway so I wouldn't worry.
