How can the Libyan conflict be resolved? watch

    • Thread Starter

Col Muammar Gaddafi says Libya will fight a "long war" after Western air strikes against his forces to protect rebel-held areas. How can the Libyan conflict be resolved?

"We promise you a long, drawn-out war with no limits," Col Gaddafi said in a phone call to Libyan state TV on Sunday morning. He said Western forces had no right to attack Libya, which had done nothing to them.

Western forces began their action on Saturday, after Libyan government forces attacked the main rebel-held city of Benghazi. On Sunday military officials are said to be assessing the damage after at least 110 missiles were fired by the US and UK.

Are you in the region? Or do you have family there? Do you think a no-fly zone is the only way to resolve the crisis in the country? Are there other viable options? What are the implications for the region?

Get out of Libya, for a start.

Get out of Libya, for a start.
And let the powerless freedom fighters get slaughtered? You fool.

Anyway i'm hoping that with the UNs intervention, Gaddafi's fear element will not take affect on these people in Tripoli, and thus he'll be left pretty much powerless. And then it'll be up to the Libyan people to continue with their revolution, with the backing of the UN and Arab League.

And then the UN leave, let the Libyan people deal with Constitutional Reform.

By making more threads about it on TSR of course!
