This isn't meant as an advice thread, I know most people aren't exactly fans and understand all the snags and ties, but I'm looking for something similar to (and as clear as) the usual payday loan sites, but that I don't need to prove my employment (I'm not)....any specifically for students? I already owe parents/ friends and I absolutely will be able to pay it back.....I don't want to resort to actual loan sharks (not much difference yeah I know).

Please don't say you're intending on using 'short term loans' to pay off other loans?

If they're "friends and family" then ask them whether they could give you a little longer to pay it back. If you say you'll have enough to pay the loan back, why not just pay your original loans back with them instead of getting into more debt just for the sake of paying it off a tiny bit quicker.

    enjoy the APR.

Theres a 4 letter word containing the above three in addition to E that adequately describes what will happen.

Wonga are pretty good...saying that make sure you're able to pay them back, I'd rather have my friends/family wanting money off me than debt collectors

    The APR is crazy high.

If you can't for what ever reason pay it back then the amount you will owe them will sky rocket.

Don't use a short-term loan company to pay off debts to friends and family. THe consequences of being unable to pay the company back are far worse than not paying your mate back £10.

Wonga did me a 30 day loan over Christmas as I was short until my next loan date. They accepted me - but it's worth noting I have credit cards, store cards that I'm never late with - hence I have a credit score.

You can see if Wonga will accept you, but remember I think you can only have a 30 day loan (or something similar).
