OCR A science A-levels - *A2 practical exams*.

Hi all, now I've done my practicals for the year in Physics and Chemistry I was wondering, since the Raw marks are out of 40, and UMS are out of 60, do they just multiply by 1.5 to get your raw-UMS conversion?

I just can't think how these can be scaled really whereas I can understand all the other exams can.

So yeah, scaled or multiplied by 1.5? :P I just want to know since I can work out what I am required to get in June to try and get into uni :P

Thanks

yep, the scaling is done by simply multiplying your raw mark by 1.5 to achieve your UMS mark. For example, 30 raw marks would be scaled to 45 UMS which is around a grade B I believe.
