What is the Ka value for ethanoic (acetic) acid?

When you look for this value, you will find that some mention some values like 1.8 x 10-5 mol dm-3 at 25 degrees.

So, if I'm working on an experiment and asked for the value of Ka for ethanoic (acetic) acid, will it be as before, or it will be for example depending on the concentration of the indicator (i.e; bromocresol green) I have added to the mixture containing ethanoic acid?

    Thanks.

I've already posted the value - just read through your earlier posts...

It's a constant - it can only be changed by temperature

    Thanks @charco.

    Yes, in this thread: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1579681

You mentioned the value of Ka for ethanoic acid to be 1.78 x 10-5.

So, for just simple experimental purposes should I assume that the Ka for ethanoic acid is: 1.78 x 10-5?

    And, I think mentioning 1.7 x 10-5 or 1.8 x 10-5 as a value for Ka for ethanoic acid doesn't matter, right?

    Thanks.
