I haven't heard from my top choice yet despite applying 5 months ago and receiving my offers from the rest of my choices within a month of applying. I am going through hell just waiting to hear from them and it is really getting me down and I feel stressed, depressed and generally unsettled not knowing what I'm doing next year. I'm on a gap year so I'm kind of just waiting to go to uni next year so I don't have school or anything to occupy my thoughts with.

Is it worth emailing the university admissions team to ask them what's going on? I mean, it's been a very long time but I suppose they don't have ot get back to us until May. Will I seem really annoying and impatient or is it worth sending them an email? Obviously as it's my first choice I don't want to do anything to hinder my chacnes of getting in!!!

    Thanks

If you do you will only be told it is under consideration. Nothing you can do will speed it up. Isn't Warwick is it? They are terrible at last minute decisions.

If it's bothering you that much, email them asap, there's no point in you wasting your time if you get rejected. So drop them a line.

And uhh... I hope that your email address is nothing like your username... coz THAT would be funny xD

I was thinking this, too... I'm going out of my mind waiting for a decision! I applied at the beginning of September and was even aggravated when they sent me an email saying they would give offers after the January deadline! (Er, this is QUITE a bit past the deadline now, guys...). I don't want to sound annoying and persistent though! I just don't know why they're taking so long...!

UCAS advises Uni's to reply to applicants by the 31st March.. and most of them stick to this, so hopefully you shouldn't have long to wait!
