Chemistry at Queens?

Am thinking of applying to do chemistry at QUB and i have a few questions.
Is it good? lol
Will i feel out of place being from london?
Is the social life good?

Hi, I can see you started this thread a while ago, so let me try and help you out. Even though i'm not at Queen's yet I hope to be starting there this September for Chemical Engineering.
The first year of Chemistry and Chemical engineering is common to both of our courses and Queen's is one of the few places to integrate them into 1 department. I have spoken to people there who all say it is great and the department is highly ranked in the UK.
I am also from London so hopefully we won't feel too out of place. Besides now you have a fellow Londoner to talk to lol.
Also I hear the social life is quite good. Belfast is an up and coming city so there's plenty to do. Obviously not as much as in London but at least it is a whole lot cheaper.
