I'm a 2nd year and I've been trying open a student account since just before christmas with no luck. I was told to check experian as I may have bad credit, after the first rejection and it said that I wasn't on the electoral roll.

But I haven't still haven't been able to since then, i've tried with NatWest, Santander and RBS, and my credit rating says I've got no bad strikes against me but still only says fair and a score of 840.

I don't understand, apart from a bit of money I owe my uni which i don't think counts, I've never been more than £2 overdrawn like twice in the 4 years I've had my current account. Never taken out a loan and never had a credit card.

Does anyone have any ideas why I keep getting rejected and how to help?

    Thanks X

Are you actually on the electoral roll now or what? How much moving about have you done in the past 5 years?
