Since februrary ive been going to the gym 3 times a week doing SS and havent missed any workouts or weight targets until last week.

Last week I failed my squat and only went to the gym twice. Im supposed to be going today, but have caught some kind of cold. Should I man upand go, or take some time off and risk losing the routine I have set and my gains

Depends on how bad the cold is. If you push yourself too hard your cold may worsen and set your training back further than if you'd just given yourself a day off to feel better.

Initially, the more you work out the weaker your immune system will become, but this strengthens over time. You just need to make sure you give yourself ample rest to get back in the game.

PS The Army says you shouldn't man up: http://www.military.com/military-fit...-out-with-cold

Be your own doctor. If you think you can train with the cold then go for it... you can always do stuff at home too.

If you can help it no, Gyms are perfect breeding places and transmission places for viruses, bacteria and the like, think of how many people use the equipment before it gets cleaned, someone/or you uses that equipment and wipes your mouth, or rubs your eye then they can get whatever you have.

Truth be told it never stopped me........
