It's really getting on my nerves now. No one even bothers to speak to me and they don't even bother with me anymore. Speaking down to me and *****ing about me. They treat me like I don't have feelings. It makes me want to leave the course and study somewhere else because i'm gonna be stuck with these guys for another 2 years. I really like the uni though and I find the content incredibly interesting. My tutors are really nice as well.

I just don't know what to do. My social life in uni sucks

Well the first few lines show the problem that is likely causing you to sit at home crying every night, you expect too much.

If you want to have friends, you have to be a friend.

Now I know you are going to showboat and tell me all about how you are friendly and all these great things about yourself, but the truth lies in the fact that you have no friends right now. There's 1000s of potential candidates within a mile of you.

I guess so, but the points is if you don't act like a friend why the hell would anyone take you on as a friend?

I can't make anyone like me. It's not like I don't try. I work with them in groups and they just don't want to be mates at all tbh. Maybe i'm just too different. I don't know.

I think you should try and get along with them and try and "fit in".

It's unlikely that there's nobody on your course you get on with. Be honest here, how many people do you actually speak to? Do you keep insisting on sitting with the same people despite the fact you don't really get on, and it's unlikely that you'll ever ever ever meet up outside of uni? You need to spread your wings and just go and sit next to someone else and make conversation. I know how scary it is to actually do that, but think about how lonely the next two years are going to be if you don't x
