I am predicted AAB in politics history and economic. I have also done Russian as an A level (A* - it's my native language) Durham is my firm with AAA INCLUDING Russian, so basically I need to get 2A's from either politics economic or history. So if I fulfil my predictions I will have A*AAB. the uni I want to go to does not accept my Russian but will I be able to adjust there if I get AAB instead o my offer AA, what if my firm was AB could I still use adjustment?

If the uni doesn't accept your Russian they won't accept you.

What grades does the adjustment uni want? (Remember that very, very few people get places through adjustment, most unis don't save places for adjustment students.) Also, unis can change their requirements on results day for adjustment students, so if the prospectus says AAB now, they could ask for AAA on results day.

If you get A*AAB then you have 'beaten' AAA so you can go into the adjustment process though.

I'm sorry, I really had to work hard to understand what you mean here. If your firm offer is AAA, getting A*AA would count as exceeding it (the fourth and subsequent A levels don't count, btw, unless - presumably - the offer itself is based on four A levels). It's the next bit where I just can't work out what you mean. Why don't you accept the uni you really want as your firm??? It sounds as if this could be the solution, since Durham will count your A* for Russian towards your offer, but your other choice won't. This would be a much better approach than relying on Adjustment - when there might not be any places available in any case, even if you were eligible to use that process.
