the accom im looking at in Nottingham trent has 12/13 people sharing a kitchen and flat (all en-suite...phew).

Whats it like? Is everyone friends? groups formed (people stick together)?

Or tell me ANYTHING you have experienced etc. ?

Groups form and sometimes rifts occur.
Someone always gets singled out as the one noone can really stand.

People have their own friends though so if any arguments / disagreements do occur, they can stay away if they need to for a couple of days so it all tends to work out.

With so many people sharing a kitchen, you NEED rules. First day, write them all up, laminate them, or your kitchen will turn into a rat infested dump

I live with 10. It's too many for one kitchen imo, though depends how big your kitchen is I guess. People don't do the washing up and nobody owns up to whose it is, so we have a MASSIVE pile of washing :/

I think you'll be that person if you laminate rules :P People don't follow them anyway in my experience  just basic ones like 'don't steal food'... argh!

Meeee I do. It's fine y'know! The lads and the girls are seperated a bit but we're still all friends and go out together, and it's good because if you want to go out you can generally find someone else that does too. Group meals are fun too. We had a couple of internationals who chose to keep themselves to themselves and yes, the kitchen can get messy but in my opinion it's worth it for the social side.

My friend who goes to Brunel lived with 19 others in one flat in halls. She never complained about it, but then she has a lot of siblings, so is probably used to living with a lot of people. She now lives in a 10 person house, so she must have found it bearable.
