Which members of the rugby club not to vomit on.

I can't remember, the first lecture was on some really basic physiology or some such, why d'you ask? :shifty:

(Actually that wasn't the first lecture, that was two weeks in when I started turning up)

CPR (freshers week), then a lot about cells, the basic organ systems/anatomy and all the sociology type stuff. Oh and there's a load of stats thrown in there too!

As far as I remember, I think we started with the spinal column in anatomy, nerve and muscle in physiology (which went MILES over my head first time around) and something respiration-related in biochemistry.

Not sure what I was first taught, one of the first things I learned was that you can't learn everything, keep your sanity.

-How to take blood pressure with stethoscope
-All the bits of the cadaver go inside the yellow tub, including fat
-Don't go too wild during Freshers week as a criminal record is bad for your medical career

    We were told:

"if you wanna be somebody, and you wanna go somewhere, you better wake up and pay attention"

(legend of a lecturer actually sang it to us)

that the hard work started now.
