We had a case study that we had to look at prior to our first lecture. 2nd thing i remember about the first week was that one of our profs said: "Life's not fair". It was something about don't complain if we are stuck in a periphery hospital 3 years in a row and stayed in Sheffield for only one placement because life simply isn't fair. And then we learned basics such as biochemistry and cell stuff....(boring!).
