What is the C3 coursework and C4 exam like for MEI? watch

    • Thread Starter

I am studying AS maths independently this year, doing C1, C2 and M1. This poses no problem, but I'm wondering whether to do the A2 next year as a fifth. It it were just for the maths then perhaps this wouldn't be too problematic (I could be wrong!), but I wonder if the C3 coursework and the second exam in C4 is found to be more challenging? I would probably do it in class instead of tackling it on my own.

    Thank you

The second C4 paper (the maths comprehension paper?) is usually incredibly straightforward and doesn't require any preparation. The C3 coursework is a little fiddly & you would probably benefit from having a teacher steer you in the right direction, if only because they should know precisely what's expected of you to score highly. If you find the maths simple enough, then the additional complications of the second C4 paper and C3 coursework shouldn't be a problem.
