    Do you use them?

I'm a third year (one more year to go) and need some advice about work experience I can be doing for bettering my chances at getting admitted to a postgrad course.

Was thinking about arranging a meeting during office hours with one of my lecturers.

Has anyone else used office hours? Was it quite formal?
    Just looking for folk's thoughts.

I'm a final year and I've made use of them pretty much every year. I guess the formality depends on the department and as mine is quite small it's quite informal. Sometimes we've even talked about academic issues and work over coffee.
What's the best type of cheese?
