Why are two of my toenails a darkish brown in colour? I cut them regularly, wash them, etc but they are still discoloured and not very pretty to look at....

Did you bruise your toenails a while ago? It might be dried blood-- it can take a while for the nail to grow out so that you clip away the bloody bit. Sorry if I've put anyone off their food.

Could be a fungal nail infection? Check up on the reasons they might be discoloured.

    Are you female?
    Do you paint your toenails?

Mine went a weird shade of browny-yellow after a prolonged time of painting them bright red, it took a while to get them back to their normal colour afterwards! I used scholl nail brghtener for a few weeks and it helped.
