It was still wrong though :ninja:
What exactly was "wrong" about it? The fact that is spread free trade? Brought a modern infrastructure to the whole world? Stopped India from tearing itself apart? Stopped the slave trade in it's tracks by setting up naval colonies in West Africa? Spread liberal ideologies across the planet?

If the Empire was so terrible then why are there still over 50 member states in the commonwealth? Including South Africa and India? Two countries that people like yourself use as ammunition to put the Empire down.

Most people know NOTHING about the Empire but disregard it anyway. Read a book.

In the hundreds of years that the Empire existed nothing compared to the atrocities that America has committed in it's short history.

The Boers fought two wars against the British, and the British invented the infamous 'concentration camp' to deal with the threat. Loads died, all because Cecil John Rhodes wanted some gold. [s]rolleyes[/s
Britain didn't invent the concentration camp. The concentration camps used in the Boer war were based upon ones used by the USA in their fight against the plains Indians and similar facilities were used by the Russians during their conflict with the Poles and Asian nomads. The name comes from the camps set up by the Spanish in Cuba called 'reconcentrados' (reconcentration camps).

Thanks for that. But... Who did the British Empire benefit? That is my question and I want to know the answer and that is all. 😁
