University of Liverpool - School of History watch

    • Thread Starter

A lot of people who I know that fit the typical private boarding school and wealthy family set (posh and/or rah) are now gravitating toward the University of Liverpool. Yes, Liverpool, believe it or not. It's become especially hip amongst the real old line money/Sloaney/bluestocking and aristocratic set. I'm told a number of the girls from Downe House, St. Swithun's, Wycombe Abbey and Tudor Hall have thier sights on Liverpool.

Apparently Liverpool's School of History has earned a world class reputation for being top notch. The English department is also highly regarded. Medicine has always been top of the line there too. However, the History department, I'm told, now is on equal footing with Cambridge or Oxford.

We'll see if by next August the fleet of Mercedes' and Land Rovers come rolling up Smithdown Road in Liverpoo, bringing young Giles, Sebastion, Jeremy, Pierce, Phillipa, Camilla and Tamsin to freshers week.
