Yes, by all means. You will be competitive in every single course at university, perhaps just on the outside edge for courses like Medicine and Economics at the more competitive universities.
Meh, I got 5A*s at GCSE

By TSR standards, you've failed. You should go and wither away in a rock somewhere and die. Realistically speaking, you should manage to get the top marks at an International Baccalaureate, as well as completing 9 A levels at A* before you are even deemed somewhat intelligent. If you have any thing short of 720 UCAS points, your life is worthless

That's the average for successful law applicants to Exeter College, Oxford. So yes, I'd say they were pretty good

Actually, I think it's a valid question. There are so many people with fabulous grades on TSR these days that having *only* 5A*s at GCSE can make you feel a bit inferior!!

He means that if your smart enough to get 5 A*'s and 4 A's you should also be smart enough to know they are awesome grades.

Look at this way, they are all very high passes so why shouldn't it be good. I'm aiming for as many A*s and As as I can get (not to fussed tbh all it's all the same thing really). It's just letters FFS who gives a two ****s! As long as you can get a decent well-paid job that you enjoy; it's not all about your GCSE grades and yours are perfectly fine to do whatever you want so be frickin' happy that you're not one of those people without GCSE's who scrounge off benefits.

Btw, your friend is a gay prick who is either jealous or a snob, perhaps both. Unless your school has extremely high standards of everyone getting all A*s, even then your grades in no way can be terrible.

Are you actually asking this question? Because if you are, someone obviously made a mistake in giving you these grades.
