A region R, area A, in the upper half of the xy-plane (y>0) is rotated through 360 degrees about the x-axis to form a region in the xyz-plane, volume V. By expressing V, A and y(bar) the y-coordinate of the centroid R as double integrals show that V=2piy(bar)A.
So far i've shown A = integral of dxdy, but I'm not sure how to express y(bar) or V as double integrals. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
