I've been really enjoying JJBA, right down to the on-screen sound effects. The nuanced and accurate portrayal of Victorian England is really good fun, too.

Yeah decent ep of sukitte, SAO was pretty good too gave lots of important info and my hatred for That glasses guy has increased by 150 times

That glasses guy who wants to marry asuna has a ability in game which can alter/destroy the emotions/memories of his 300 ppl he stole from SAO not sure if its just them, this pi**ed me off so much i know that its gona get ever so sad that even if kirito does save her her memories/emotions will be gone like she never knew him, ofc it wont end like that but its a good plot, Personally i think this plot seems so much better and more interesting.

one thing i don't get is aao is mage only, the moment kirito used a sword was the moment of wtf, where'd he even get the sword from since all items besides yui were lost -.-

I really do think that is the best use of 3-D I have seen in a long time, in JJBA's OP. And yes, as you said, the sophisticated and nuanced portrayal of Victorian England only enhances it, I'm especially loving the fan subbers having a lot of fun with it. Somehow, "Yamero!" turns into "Not the frog!" And "I leave" turns into "Speedwagon swiftly speeds away" :giggle:
Anyone who has me added on Anime-Planet may already know which five new series I picked up this season in the end, but they're certainly not the ones I was expecting! For anyone who's interested, the final round of my 'Autumn Anime Knockout' tournament where I decided what to watch can be viewed on my blog here (minor second episode spoilers for several series inside); for those who're only mildly curious and want the TL;DR version:

so finally decided to start the Gantz manga, a few years after seeing the anime, 2 volumes in but cant seem to get into it :s-smilie: reading action scenes just feels a bit bleh at times, much prefer animation when it comes to action..

oh yeah main character doesnt seem to be as big of a dick as he was in the anime and i dont remember there being so many tears :p:

yup hes a massive **** :p: up to chp 54 now, starting to get hooked, one more round, and i think this is where the manga goes off a different direction from the anime :beard:

oh gawd... my friend just showed me tentacle porn for the first time.... I was just in utter disbelief. who thinks up these weird ideas. Honestly, japanese people have no boundaries for imagination.

Don't ask me how I know this but, the reason tentacle porn became so popular is due to the censorship laws which say you can't show penises or vaginas. So they replaced the penises with... well... tentacles.

I have to wonder what you were expecting from tentacle porn however, that made you so surprised at it.

Drop it when you hit chapter 289-300-ish. Or if you do continue, read it for how laughably bad it gets. As it stands Hiroya Oku blatantly has no idea which direction to take the manga or how to write, so much so that he

Not that Gantz is the magnum opus of writing anyway; it was always babby's first seinen, but that little tidbit really took the cake. It's also evident that he's running out of steam with him taking much longer breaks between chapters for little-no reason.

The manga really does pick up between the end of the Buddha arc and the following 200 or so chapters. However, if I could take back the 2-3 years waiting for these last 70 or so chapters, I would. Unfortunately, too much time has been put into Gantz in the years prior to that, as well, to not see how it will conclude.

In a similar vein though, I suggest you look up Shingeki no Kyoujin, if you haven't read or heard of it already. Pretty solid so far. Twists and turns everywhere.

On the bright side. I just watched this weeks Chuuni and it just keeps getting better. Laughs, tugging at heart strings. I'm getting strong moe.

Yeah, that's part of why I called it babby's first seinen. It's basically the grimdark, mature and edgy teenager's version of

ok up to ep 247 and im done, its just getting ridiculously stupid now :rofl: :facepalm2: i cant imagine what it'll be like after chp 300 :nothing:

with chuuni, yeah shes cute but i dont get this hnnnnnng feeling everyone seems to be getting :p:

The shark jumps so much that it leaves Solar orbit and ends up outside of the Milky Way.
