They played the same joke twice, couldn't help but feel it degraded the show slightly this week. Not that I didn't enjoy it
:teeth: the part where they were putting on the armour :ahee:

Shame, but I can sorta understand - Fate/Zero doesn't get any less extreme as it goes on. Then again, neither does Baccano! :s: Hope you don't end up watching nothing but slice of life shows by the end of the year! :giggle:
lol they put on 2 eps of Saki (which i skipped) afterwards so they could tone it down a bit :p: some girls wanted shoujo, and most the guys were like get out :wtf: its hard to please everyone :p: hoping they will show a mix of genres in the future

Indeed :hubba: I dread to think if it will get any worse.

It is indeed, ours do it on a voting basis. This week we had Attack on Titan (think this is going all way through), Trigun, Chaos Head, Code Geass and Fractale (which is really weird). Our attempt at getting one slice of life show in failed was better this week but meh least i'm still meeting people.

What do you guys think was better cover art for the box set of the Blu Ray of FMAB?

I personally prefer what it was supposed to be originally but the new stuff is good too. =l

So happy I have finally ordered the full box set (well, 2 halves), now have to go through play.com's process of checking my payment before they finally send it off, so, with any luck, Monday next week. =D

It's just doesn't compare to opening 13 that one was just a lot better. I like the new ending though (Except for the whole Sasuke fan service).
If you also happen to watch bleach and fancy seeing something cool. Turn off the soundtrack for Naruto Shippuden op 13 and watch the video with the soundtrack from bleach op 13 :sogood:

Finished Toradora at last in a group watch. Overall it took about a month I think which wasn't too bad and it is a good series. Would say people give it a go.

EDIT: Watch this crazy English dub by the BBC... If all dubs were like this then i'd watch them  Its from Urusei Yatsura and apparently Matt Lucas did the voice.

wow thats a lot of action  too much for me :p: with the old commitee we had a voting thing which worked quite well, but this year they seem to just pick a couple of shows at the start but they do mention that if we didnt like the shows they can recommend something else on facebook :dontknow: i find it hard to socialise with the anime soc for some reason :p: other socs are fine, guess im still very much a closet anime fan :p:

Yeah its really heavy on the action, as you can imagine the place is dominated by these type of guys which is a shame to be honest. Half of them just sit there playing on le DS instead of watching anyway  Me too, I don't fit in with them at all really. I'm just some guy you wouldn't expect to like anime

    Good isn't it?

Was the same for me at my first anime soc meeting. Haven't been since, just don't fit in
I can relate... They like anime, gaming to an extreme, Sci Fi (and more) and are prime examples of what 'normal people' call geeks/nerds unfortunately. I'm just there for the anime, not to debate the new pokemon game so I don't really fit into this inner ring where you have to watch Bleach/Naruto alongside Dr Who or whatever. I'm the worst anime fan ever

Having said that they're nice people but they really do form an 'anime elite' if you like where they sneer down on other people and genres.

Damn, your societies sound really elitist! Warwick's one is great, though only a few were watching their own animes on their laptops, and afaik nobody was playing on a handheld! I've only seen a very small amount but I still just talked about what I'd seen and am currently seeing, even the really hardcore Gundam lovers spoke to me for a while about HxH and Titan! I also met a few JoJo lovers, who have since convinced me to start reading the manga, which is also so good!

I may be attending the MCM Expo next Saturday, anime soc trip, not sure if I'd appreciate it enough to warrant the price though, since I've only seen around 20.

Bah they weren't so bad I assume most of the new members enjoyed going and meeting them. How strange I met a bunch of JoJo lovers too...

I thought about it as well but I really can't be going to london so soon, i'm far too lazy for all that.

Has anybody here watched Chihayafuru? Just finished season 2 and I have to say it's one of the most enjoyable anime's I've watched, I was never bored and always looked forward to the next episode, it's a card game/sports anime but has a distinct feel good feel to it. It also balances all the concerned themes so well too. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend giving it a try.
