Not sure as I only ever look for Japanese audio with English subtitles(Original post by keromedic)
Fair enough. I do love me some shounen even though I'm gay.
Is Mahouka dubbed? I need to check it out. Looks awesome.
I've already read Negima. Big fan. I'm even reading the sequel "UQ holder". The creator was featured on that awful video that insinuated that anime=child porn.
Gracias.
The only way to watch...until one day I learn Japanese well enough![]()

Oh? I didn't realise it's ending. Are they not going to go into the exploration arc?
(Original post by keromedic)
I'm at a loss for what to watch now... Do you have anything with magic?
The Slayers (and all its movies/sequels)
Record of Lodoss War
Chrno Crusade
Fate/Zero
xxxHOLiC

Not currently learning Japanese but I've been considering getting back into it. Took it as an extra module during university for 2 years and it'd be nice to be able to understand it without subtitles someday
It'd also be nice to understand what the heck all the anime songs I'm listening to means for onceIt's all about sounds good
Lyrics can be googled but too much bother

I hear there's only 10 chapters of that arc out so far, and with the constant hiatuses, the anime would catch up so quickly that there would be no point. Better to wait for the arc to finish than to go into filler.
So the anime is not ending? It's waiting for the manga to progress for awhile? That lines up nicely with what I read somewhere else then. They said the anime will return in 2016.
Dubs aren't my strong point, but I know the following are dubbed at least:
The Slayers (and all its movies/sequels)
Record of Lodoss War
Chrno Crusade
Fate/Zero
xxxHOLiC
Anything there take your interest?. Thanks. DO u attend the anime soc in ur uni?

I'm following one called The Gamer which is pleasant.
I've also read one called 1/2 Prince which is also ongoing, albeit slowly. They are both somewhat about characters and rpgs though that idea is presented differently in both.
In the former, the character gains the abilities of an rpg character irl.
In the latter, the characters are able to play a game using a VR helmet. Like SOA, except they aren't stuck!

Ooh okay. I actually don't mind fillers tbh if they're placed correctly and aren't too silly. HxH doesn't have a point as such so it's not like you're irritated watching a side story.

Perhaps Fate/Zero and the one Kj suggested above. Thanks. DO u attend the anime soc in ur uni?
All I know is, the current anime series is set to end in four episodes.

Also tried Girl of the Wild's which is half decentI'll give 1/2 Prince a try. Sounds like my kinda thing.

I'm hoping Hunter x Hunter will get a sequel when there's more manga material, but throwing around dates/years is a bit pointless when the manga-ka's on hiatus so often. Who knows how long it'll take for the current arc to be finished? All I know is, the current anime series is set to end in four episodes.

But I see...Well if it ends here, at least 148 will be a proper ending of sorts. I'm a fair bit surprised it never blew up in the west! I only found about it within the last month
.
Thanks for the link.

Ah yes...I see from ur location on here u're in Wales. Any idea what you'll do now?.
And very nice (being on the committee).
Aside from HxH, he's best known for Yu Yu Hakusho and Level E, both of which also have anime adaptations.
I'm also surprised by the lack of 'mainstream' popularity of Hunter x Hunter in the West... of the big three shounen series, I've only watched One Piece, but I'd say HxH is on par with that!
I'm employed, for the moment... but my contract ends in exactly two weeks, and I've got nothing else lined up. Currently trying to choose between the easy but boring life staying with my parents, or moving somewhere with a bit more activity and better job prospects. -

Any good anime recommendation?
One piece
hunter hunter
Fairy tail
Akame ga Kill
Chaika the coffin princess (season 2 in october)
Because I loves these animes.
I do not watch naruto and others simply because I find them predictable or boring or a waste to watch(as they are not ongoing).

Anyone else watch the One piece 3D2Y special? I thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately didn't get to live stream it as I didn't know, and I don't think it was available to people in the UK which is somewhat a shame.

I have question for you guys. When and why did you guys start watching anime.
Here mine story.
Four years ago, When i started in college. I met my friend from primary school and we talk about old cartoon that we watch in our childhood, my friend mention about cartoon character who stretch his arm and wore straw hat and I knew he was talking about One piece. Day after , I decided to watch once piece , Google search it and came up one piece anime dub. I was confuse at first then I research it and was surprise that lot of my childhood cartoon was anime dub. After that I started watching different type anime and became anime fan since then. -

Naruto is plain boring for me. Jus havent bothered with it.
I couldn't find other animes that I would enjoy after searching for some time so going to jump to reading mangas or watching korean dramas.
