I'm at Aberystwyth University studying Law and due to very difficult family circumstances, my performance has been extremely poor. I know for sure that I will fail upcoming exams, and I do not want that stain on my record.

My question is this. Is it possible to restart the same course again somehow, in the same uni? I like the course, the uni and the people; my personal circumstances just didn't allow me to achieve my full potential.

If this is possible, how do I get round to doing it?

Thank you in advance for any help.

You could apply for extenuating circumstances. You need to talk to your tutor to discuss your options.

yes this is what i have done took some time out, re-starting september! go to the main student office and ask for 'temporary leave of study' form. every uni has one! what they do, they keep your place for next years course. it's easy as pie as you're already enrolled and have usernames/passwords etc
