Does anyone know whether the NHS will still be funding any NHS courses next academic year due to the goverment cuts.

I haven't heard anything about them cutting funding for healthcare courses next year, however I read somewhere a while ago that if any changes are voted on, they'll be introduced in the 2012 academic year. I HIGHLY doubt they'll cut funding altogether though, and even if they did, I expect anyone half way through the course at that time would still be eligible and only new students would need to fund themselves.

So to answer your question, yes they're funding next year (assuming you're talking about from this September), but I don't know about the years after that.

In the medicine forum, Esp the grad entry posts, there is a lot of talk about it but the truth is no one knows yet. It is likely to happen because of the cut but it has not happened yet.
I, personally, am hoping that they keep them so I can go on to do medicine but it looks like they could be scraping it. your better off asking in the medicine/nursing forum.
Are you thinking about nursing or medicine?
How are you feeling in the run-up to Results Day 2018?
