Been Suspended from College need advice...

Hi all,

Just new to the forums. Well today i been basically suspended from college and i have to bring in my parents next week to see if i have been kicked out. 60% chance that i will get kicked out. Basically i had a fight with someone they said i started when i didnt, they have to look through the cameras but looks like both of us could be kicked out.

I was just wondering if i do get kicked out what options should look into doing?
Currently i was doing my 2nd year of AVCE ICT, i had 53 points so far and was hoping to apply to do HND at a University.

I have also looked into going to a university in America, like Brigham Young University in America, is there any other Universities people can recommend which arnt to expensive. They basically asked me to have more then 5 Gcses which i do have. Just its quite expensive which is a problem.

My other options if this would be possible but is a long shot, is to apply for colleges who do AVCE ICT and try to finish this course of. I only have just over 6 months left, so i would really like to get it done and go to uni.

I would be greatful for any advice and help

This is what i am thinking but i dont think they take late applicants? All colleges start in September.

Also this AVCE ICT course is the final year, its the last time anyone will be doing the course over the UK.

Some colleges have February starts for some courses - you could look into that, or maybe look at completing your course by post/online?

Sorry - just noticed your post about this being the last year of the course ... maybe that might work in your favour when your parents go in for the interview? You say there's a 60% chance you'll get chucked out - so there's stilla 40% chance they will let you stay ...

It seems very harsh that you'd get kicked out of college for one fight! :eek:

Sometimes at my school, people in the younger years, which you'd expect to be stricter, don't even get suspended, for fighting, and if they do it's only for a few days! Try pleading with your head or whoever the meeting is with and explaining that you'll only be in college for another 6 months and you really want to go to uni, so you'll work hard and stay out of trouble. If you still get kicked out, I don't really see what you could do if your course is being discontinued.

I guess you'd have to start all over again with GCE Applied ICT, which would mean almost 2 years of work wasted and another 2 years before you could go to uni :frown:

Unless you can convince another school or college in your area to take you on just for the rest of this year so you can finish the coursework, get it marked and sit any exams you need to take.
