    Hello,

I am 24 years old and about to start an MA at LSE in International Studies. My goal is to start a career in International Development. Any advice?

I am unqualified to add really, but can only suggest that being an international student and having worked abroad regardless of your private background would only lead you to be considered favourably because of experience.

This is just an idea, but one I'm sure you must already be aware of. In terms of being too old, pah! Ligfe begins at thirty, no?

Thanks for your comment! Indeed, having worked abroad is positive, but what worries me is that in this field international development people are very experienced...and as for me being an international student, I was worried because now staying on in the UK for an extra year or two will be much more difficult, and there is nowhere better than London to acquire experience...that is why I worry...

Hi! Definite not too late. I changed from law two years ago. ...Its been a slog but getting there!! Be a Gd idea to do an internship whilst studying. Also it might be worth looking into a more specialist masters like in research or policy to specialise more quickly.
