I recently received my results for my January Accounting unit 1 retake. After knowing I'd done pretty well in this exam, I was shocked to see that I had got 51/80, a C grade. Knowing this had to be a mistake I sent it off for a remark - paying the full £40 that it costs to do this. No surprises, the remark came back and was 69/80, a gain of 18 marks and a whole 2 grades from a C to an A.

The main problem is that the exam's office at my college is refusing to refund the £40 that I paid and claim that I only get a refund if my overall Exam grade improves.

I quite honestly find this disgusting! Not only that I was down 18 marks in the first place but that I had to pay £40 to an exam board because they didn't do their job correctly, and am now being denied a refund on this.

Surely I have a right to appeal this and get the money back?!
