I'm hoping someone can hope with this. I want to do the SCITT programme with University Campus Suffolk, but the PGCE they offer with that course is called a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education. Is is the Postgraduate Certificate in Education by a different name, or is it a completely different qualification? Is it equivalent to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and can I still get a teaching post with it?
Help is much appreciated - routes into teaching leave me confused!

I'm probably wrong as I've only focussed on getting a place on the post compulsory course (which i got Friday after an interview Thursday, yay!) I thought that Professional Certificate is what the course is called if you don't have a degree, just experience and that most people go to do a Postgraduate certificate...
I think yours might be different though as what does the SCITT stand for, initial teacher training? might be worth checking TDA if you're interested in primary/secondary schools - http://www.tda.gov.uk/get-into-teaching.aspx
Hope someone else can correct us
