I know a bunch of people who study intense degrees from 9-5.
These are degrees such as Dentistry, Medicine and Pharmacy.

They find time to go out and get really pissed, the question is How the hell do they find the time????

There are three things to do at uni; work, socialise (drink) and sleep. You can do two of these well.

16/8 hour awake sleep split is what most people do. Outside their degrees they have 8 hours to have fun lol.

It's just time management really I guess - I know 5th year medics with bustling social lives who arent failing and they seem to be on placements all the time!

Cos 9-5 is just what you'd do as a normal full time job anyway, and no-one questions how people can hold down a social life and have a job.

I agree that time management is key, but I also think the type of person you are counts for a lot. Some people genuinely don't want to do anything other than go home and rest after a 9-5, whereas others get off on constant activity and challenge.

My brother, for example, started on a grad scheme a few months ago which requires him to work 8am-7pm every day, but he still goes out at least four times a week and makes time for gym, family, sleep, etc.

If they did then they'd give it back shouting 'dude can't handle it!' and their face would melt off while their loved ones circled around them In a crowd of anguish.
