a free university education
I got one of those too, although I'm planning on repaying it when I have the funds (I want to set up a scholarship fund for future students - the £24k that the government paid for my university education should give that a decent start...just need to start saving once I've paid off my debts)

I got free donuts when registering with the doctor (a cynical exercise because they knew that with all th queues etc lots of freshers end up fainting from lack of food and they didn't want to have to deal with that on such a busy week  ).

My old scarf was free...as was our kitchen sink (someone had chucked it in a skip  ) and our front room carpet.

I got £50 from HSBC for taking out their full student acount including credit card.

I estimate they've had about £500 or more back from me in interest charges on said credit card.

No - but during freshers week there are a lot of fainting queue-ers (new place, much drinking, much queueing and having to fend for yourself food wise means a lot of silly freshers with low low blood sugar)

I can't even remember fresher's week, which is not a good sign (or maybe it is).
