Hey guys, need a bit of advice here

im seeing my dad on sunday, first time i will have seen him in 8 years or so.

he isnt coming to my house because maybe it wouldnt be suitable to just land in after 8 years of no contact because of my mum and all so were going to meet up somwhere, problem is where?

i cant think of anywere that would be suitable... i was thinking maybe a pub or something but i dont want to stand in public and be like hey? long time no see

yano what i mean, so anyone have any ideas?

    thanks all

Café or pub is always good for this kind of thing, somewhere you can just talk casually without too much pressure. Otherwise, try going to a cinema or an art gallery, museum, etc. to give you something to talk about.

A park would be a good idea

As long as it's not raining.

How about meeting in the rail station of another town or if you're driving maybe you could meet at a Motorway services area.... just a suggestion.

Can always talk about the journey there and decide where to go after that.
