Im currently on a gap year and it feels like every week i lose contact with more and more people. I speak with less people from school now than i have ever done!

I was wondering how many people at uni still keep in touch with their friends? I can see myself keeping in touch with one or two but at this rate ill probably have a clean slate of friends going to uni =/

Well, would you call them actual friends or just acquaintances?

I still speak to my best friend, and then 3 people from our group. Other people, we just fell out of contact, and some other people, we're not really friends any more. I mean, we'll still talk occasionally on fb or comment on a status every now and again, but they're no longer the people I hang out with when I go home.

I don't see the problem. The ones that matter will stay in contact and the annoying ****s are out of your life forever.

Are the friendships you make at uni mean more and are strong than those in school?

I keep in contact with a very small group of people I went to school with. They are the ones that matter.

I think it happens to alot of people. I only talk to my really close friends from school and we go out whenever we can but i've lost contact with alot of people. New friends are always around the corner
