    We havent done that, we have done some subsituted ring chemistry, but the rings we do mostly involve oxygen, Epoxide chemistry in particular is quite interesting. I think our course has a special enphasis on the oxygen atom

    To be honest I'm not entirely sure; I'm a NatSci myself and I don't know many pure chemists that well. I have a friend on my course who took it and absolutely hated it, I believe it's a lot of phys chem inc. quite a bit of physical organic. I don't think you're missing out on too much...it's perfectly possible to do the core modules without it and I've not heard anyone complain about it being a disadvanged to have not done it.
