If you were given £5000, from an estranged relative let's say, what would you do with it? This isn't just random, I'm more or less in the said situation and I don't know what to do! £3000 towards university accommodation, I think, but what about the remaining £2000? Any ideas? I really don't want to fritter this away on clothes and make up etc.
A 500,000p mix-up. Preferably with plenty of those gummy ring things.

Personally I'd stick it in to my savings account so I have money when I urgently need it.

I would be very tempted to get a life-sized sculpture of myself made out of chocolate.

Yeh but they're all like 5p now so you'd only get like... 100,000. Rubbish

I would save, but be tempted to buy a car + insurance.

I'd probs keep out a few hundred, treat myself etc :P and then invest/save the rest of it, pay off some of my student loan or use it as a deposit on a flat or something.

    Wow, lucky you OP!

I would personally either spend it towards a car, or go travelling. Would have to be one or the other though, cos the car I want is the Fiat 500, and that costs way over £5000 (and that's not including insurance). Ah, tough choice.

I'd use some of it to aid my studies, use some of it for essentials such as clothing and food and donate the rest to charity.
