I'm doing The Kite Runner/ Spies for A2, and I thought it'd be a good idea to start up a thread so people can share their thoughts and ideas about the books until D-Day (16th June)! A lot of the exam questions focus on war, but war is not on the frontline in either of these books, so I've decided to focus on the inner conflicts and wars that go on within families and within people, for example, Amir's inner conflict after witnessing the rape of Hassan - not knowing whether to comfort him and incriminate Assef or whether to just ignore it and let it pass.

    Any thoughts?

Well I can only speak about The Kite Runner, but you can still talk about the war as it affected Hassan's family and also traumatised Sohrab
