Am I still entitled to free glasses at 17? watch

    • Thread Starter

A guy in my opticians told me that 16 was the last time I could get my glasses for free (because of the NHS) but I remember reading many times on NHS forms how I'm entitled to so-and-so if I'm under 19 and in full time education. On my opticians website site it says that if under 19 etc I can get a free eye test. But does this mean that regardless I don't get free glasses anymore? Because it's unfair that they didn't tell me this in advance and then am suddenly told I need to pay for them from now on.

Not free ones but discounted :nooo:

you get the lense free but have to buy for the frames (if you want decent ones) you also get the eye test free to thats if you are in full time education and they do nice ones on a budget i got a very nice pair for £20.
