My hairs naturally blonde brownish like this:

and medium length layered, with fringe. I'm thinking of getting the ends dyed, what colour would look better, dark brown or black (or any other suggestions)?

i think brown would look more subtle, drew barrymore has dip dyed black ends and it looks pretty awful in my opinion! however if it were me i'd go for blue or pink or something...

Sorry, but I'd strongly advise against it. I've never seen it look good, not even on really attractive people. If you just want a change there are loads of other things you could try

google carrie bradshaw for hair-spiration! she has it exactly how you described... blonde with darker ends. looks lovely  its hard too pull off though! you need wavy, long-ish hair... otherwise, it just looks like a bad dye job.

definitely dont go for black, btw. black is a ***** to get rid of and would look too harsh and unnatural. brown ftw!

Wasn't that in fashion back when the Spice Girls were the biggest group in the universe?
