    Are there any theories that suggest what was before the big bang. I mean seriously, what was there before the universe, surely it's impossible for a load of particles etc to just appear out of nowhere, and there must have been a time where there was just nothing. I am confused. Sorry if this is like the question of the universe or something that no one can understand.

    Edit: Ooop sorry...title was a bit of a disaster...meant to be what was before everything or something similar
