    Hi,

Not interested in any of those 'day in the life of a banker' books, but im very interested in learning more about commodity markets, especially gold, silver, oil and copper. Anyone know any good books which explain the market dynamics?

Im also generally interested in derivatives and whilst ive seen 'Options, Futures and Other Derivatives', by John Hull- i wondered if there's any other good books?

You could try "Commodity Derivatives - Markets and Applications" by Neil C. Schofield

Pretty much covers all the commodities you mentioned

Edit: jut checked, doesnt have a specific section on silver, but has many other intersting commodities such as lng, agriculturals and also some stuff on electricity and emissions trading.

    Well done for staying off-topic.

On a more serious note, I can't say much about metals, but for Crude and refined products I would look at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Energy-Tradi...1248351&sr=8-1

Hull is the best book on options out there. If you can understand that, then there's no need for anything else.

For option trading, taleb's dynamic hedging is a must read.
