    But i'm still using my laptop which probs uses more energy than having my lights on but hey ive turned my lights off to make me feel more environmentally friendly at least! Has anyone here turned off their lights or gone to greater extent for the 'Earth Hour' sorry it#s hard to see the keyboard in the darkness......

    I never have my lights on, though I do not consider the environment in leaving them off. Touch-typing ffs.

    Earth hour is so stupid. It will need a lot more than just switching off one light for one hour, even if the whole world does it. It is just another example of sheep mentality in this world. :rolleyes:

    What would actually help, is the entire world switching to energy efficient light-bulbs.
    The difference in energy usage is staggering.

    Likewise, with other household appliances, look for energy efficient models, it may help MUCH more than trying to use them less.
