    Hey guys,

I am currently a 1st year just-Politics Royal Holloway student. I have decided to leave after completing the year because I dont like it there but thats not important.

I have sent my UCAS off to Leicester and Lancaster.

Leicester replied for 2nd year direct entry with an offer of 55% - achievable with some work.

Lancaster though has messed me up and about. After taking about 3 months to get back to me decided to send me a letter saying an Unconditional offer YET not for which entry point 1st or 2nd. And its not been put on UCAS yet

Now I am unsure what to do because my Dad has told me that he would bank role me for another 1st year in case it isnt for 2nd year. (we're not rich but can afford it without having to buy tesco value beans for a decade)

    SO

I want to go to Lancaster far more than Leicester! Yet I'm not sure if I would/should do 1st another year. If I could be bothered to do it. Whether if I didnt do another 1st year would the social side of uni be a bit diminished? Whether I would love the the thing Lancaster does where you can choose other modules etc in the 1st year and whether I would get a better mark in a 1st year enjoy even if it doesnt contribute to my end of degree mark?

I am gauranteed accomodation due to being special needs (has its uses) so not sure what to do.

    What do people think?

You need to wait and see what the offer is for before deciding. You may not need to think about this after all.

I don't see any rason why you can't contact Lancaster Admissions and ask them for an update/clarification.

Good uni though  - and great history department (but so is Leicester's, in a very different way!).
