If the clocks keep back and forth why don't we keep them the same ? watch

    It's to save daylight time, so it depends on the seasons. As we're moving into spring now, we change the clocks.

    I think if they stopped it in one of the times Scotland would be in perm darkness or something

    What?

    Changing the clocks doesn't change the weather.
    It just means that we move the clocks so make sure we maximise our use of times with light.
    If a place was in permanent darkness, no change to the time system would change that...

    It's about changing our daily schedule so that we work in the light and sleep in the dark.
    Not much more to it than that.

    The clock only change because we have decided we want them to change - in other countries they adjust the time on different dates and in some cases for more than one hour I believe.
