Ok, I am falling for someone at the moment and I can't help it. The problem is killing me wanting to know whether she feels the same about me. I'm great at hiding my feelings so no one knows whether I fancy someone or not, but I think this girl fancies me slightly too..

However, it is completely out of the question to just ask her if she does. These are early days and im not going to say anything to her, but I just want to get this person out of my head.

Thats all, any advice on how to stop thinking about someone!!!

Why is it out of the question to ask her out? Its the only way you'll know

I'm in the exact same situation (just swop the sexes around lol) - I think it's kinda obvious we like each other as people seem to think we're a couple as we have a lot of chemistry and we hang out a lot... but I'm not sure haha.

    Just ask her. Why?

    (1) It's the only way, aside from asking her friends, to find out if she feels anything from you.

    (2) Moreover, if you want to be with this woman, you do realise you are going to have to end up actually talking to her at some point, right? So why not get started now?

    (3) Being cowardly never gets you anywhere with anything in life. This is coming from a person who has many a time never acted on what he really wanted because he was scared of the potential negatives/downsides. I really regret never making a move on this girl, for example, even though I really reall really liked her, and I could tell she liked me. In the end, after weeks of being a coward, I plucked up the courage, but she had lost interest. I can't say I blame her.

    (4) If things don't work out, at least you know - personally I find such a state far more bearable than that 'I don't know whether she likes me or not' state.

    (5) It's good to brush up your first-contact skills with women!

So, in conclusion, go for it! You know you'll regret it if you don't
