Wow, how loving. Doubtless they'd also be among the idiots that moan vegetarians and vegans are egotistical and try convert everyone too.

Did you never say anything in defence, it's kind of cruel to try persuade people beliefs they hold close enough to change their lifestyle.
No, my family and friends do not mind vegetarians, my grandmother's brothers family are vegans for religious reasons and a number of my closer relatives are also vegetarians.

Way to judge before knowing the full story... my sister is also severly anemic. Being a vegetarian is fine as long as you maintain a healthy diet and take supplements if necessary, my sister does not and is currently damaging her own health. Forgive us for caring.

The full story is irrelevant, it's obvious she cares about it quite strongly to be doing it regardless, so the specifics about how it got to her health don't matter. You told her to drop her morals rather than help her to follow her beliefs healthily, which is entirely possible without going on the crazy diet it sounds like you expect.

The full story is not irrelevant. She is harming herself, if she was healthy and a vegetarian i would have no problem with her choice. The side effects of anemia are serious, severe anemia can result in heart damadge which can in turn lead to organ failure and death, forgive me for wanting to prevent that from happening to my only sister.
And i never once said that she should drop her morals... i said my friends and family have talked to her about it.
And no i do not believe that being a vegetarian is a crazy diet, why would i? For much of my life i was a vegetarian and even now i only eat chicken and seafood on occasion.
