Going from cerazette to implant watch

I was wondering what people's experiences have been in changing from cerazette to the implant. I've been on cerazette for 4 years now and haven't had any periods apart from one right at the start so particularly whether people have had any changes in this when moving to the implant would be useful for me to know!

I changed from cerazette to the implant in February. At first I didn't have any spotting for a month then I had it for 2 weeks lol. When I was on cerazette I had spotting once a month but it lasted for bout 3-4 days. But I have no complaints so far
You could be the same as your are on cerazette with the implant, it can take a couple of months for the hormones to settle.
If you do decide to get the implant you will have to keep taking your pill for an extra 7 days so that your protected from pregnancy. hth x

I didn't have to... the doctor said that as long as I had been taking the pill as I should, it's be fine. I didn't get pregannt, but thinking back on it, nor did I actually have sex in the first week...

Yeah it must depend on what the doctor advises you. I wasn't haven't sex in the first week either but my doctor just said to take it anyway so that I was protected. I read if you get it fitted whilst on your period your protected straight away, but that was quite difficult when I was on cerazette as I didn't have any! lol x

Same her, could hardly tell when periods are supposed to be when you haven't had one in months!
