The Macro can be as simple as fixing the decimal place..... Trust me, even tiny things like that help........
    Most banks have alt+ shortcuts for all/ most of the common cell formats. Only macros I had to write for myself were decimal places and merge cells. And the reason I had to write them was because I'd used them so much at the bank I interned at before that they were ingrained in my brain and I kept on trying to use them out of habit.

    Macros are apparently useful in trading though as pointed out, but personally don't have any experience of this and most S&T interns I know are worse at VBA than I am and were just given the macro tasks as busywork
